Como Shambhala Resort in Bali, design overseen by Cheong Yew Kuan
Because this resort design is absolutely amazing, I will be dedicating two different posts: one based on the interiors and one on the exteriors/landscaping. I believe Tumblr isn’t doing Como Shambhala justice by limiting the number of images you can post; therefore, I suggest you go onto the actual resort website and find all about it yourself.
This first post will be on interiors. Yes, there is one image that is clearly an exterior view of the architectural structures; however, just deal with it.
Peter Zumthor’s spa threatened?
Star architect fears for his famous masterpiece in Vals.
The remote alpine village of Vals in the eastern Swiss canton of Graubünden rose to fame when star architect Peter Zumthor built new thermal baths there in 1996. The spa is well known for its quarzite slab construction. Now the surrounding hotel complex is in need of renovation. An investor has offered to buy the whole site, but Zumthor fears for the future of his masterpiece. (SF/swissinfo.ch)
